Meet Yvonne
Postpartum Doula & Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach
The name Mahdevi was given to Yvonne at birth by her father who she shares a dysfunctional and disjointed bond with but who was a source of a lot learning. He spend many years in India and had just come back from his travels before Yvonne was born. He choose the name that represented a mother goddess and so began the connection to India and was the catalyst for her healing journey.
Yvonne is a trauma informed yoga teacher, postpartum doula, holistic nutritionist and mother. After a traumatic upbringing and years of escape she found the path of yoga and well-being which lead her to back to India where she now resides in sunny Goa. She used Yoga and lifestyle to heal a lot of her own mental health issues and uses food as medicine as a preventative and for deep healing. It’s her passion to help other women on their journey to healing and self development. She uses trauma informed practises to create safe spaces for women and guides women to a happier healthier life.

Postpartum Doula Services
How can you work with me?
As a postpartum doula I create a safe space for you to help the transition from pregnancy into motherhood. This incredible divine time is a time for being held, nourished and supported. With proper nourishment and support a mother can be totally dedicated to her child and is able to heal and rest. It is my belief that this is the most important time in a womens life and with adequate support through birth and postpartum and mother can flourish and paves the way for the rest of the motherhood journey.
Packages range depending on the mothers wants and needs. Each mother is different and will require different amounts of care.
I am passionate about traditional healing & postpartum so I weave in many modalities to suit your needs.
Nutrition & Lifestyle Consultation
What does a consultation look like?
A consultation with me will allow for deep healing not only using food but I bring in many modalities to bring you to a state of harmony. Letting go of diet culture and mentality to deeply heal and nourish. We dive deep into some unconventional ways of eating as well as looking at the body as a whole. What we eat is only one part it’s also about how we move, sleep, what we put on our bodies and the air we breath. We will debunk some outdated dietary advice which is not only making us fat but sick and mentally exhausted. If you want to live your life free of counting calories and beating yourself up for consuming food deemed as “unhealthy” please get in touch. If you want a well rounded consultation filled with juicy information that will let you feel free in your food choices., book a consultation call.

Postpartum & Trauma Informed Yoga
Trauma informed Yoga.
I help people who have suffered traumatic situations or have trauma stuck in the body. Using Yoga as a means of relaxing and guiding people to a deeper sense of self and a greater ownership over the body. You are the guide for your own practise which makes the practise safer and more accessible to more people. I teach in a way that allows for healing by using specific language and avoiding “triggering “ scenarios. I creates supportive spaces that gives my student a sense of embodiment and trust.
Prenatal yoga
One of my biggest passions is helping women through this delicate time of their lives. Interweaving my work as a trauma informed teacher and doula I guide women safely through gentle yoga practises , pranayama and meditation. Giving women a deeper sense of calm and assisting with easier delivery and a calmer postpartum.
